How can the horn units be accessed, and How to remove it on Volvo S40?

Volvo advises that the horn units can be accessed by removing the grille, but due to the difficulty of grille removal with the bumper in place, it is recommended to remove the front bumper to prevent the risk of damage. Once the front bumper is removed, unclip the plastic cover from the bumper mounting bar, unbolt the horn from its bracket, and disconnect the wiring plug as the horn is removed. Reinstallation is the reverse of the removal process.

How to remove and refit the horn from the bonnet on Volvo V40?

To remove the horn, open the bonnet, unscrew the retaining bolt and remove the horn from the bonnet lock cross member and disconnect the horn from the wiring connector. For refitting, reconnect the wiring connector, give the horn back to the crossmember, make sure the retaining bolt is tightened.
