To remove the wiper motor, switch the wipers on and off to make sure the motor and linkage are parked. Next, remove the windscreen wiper arms then the plenum cover and cover over the wiper motor if applicable, which means pressing in the centre pin, prising out the rivet and removing the cover. Disconnect the wiper motor wiring plug, then undo the four bolts to maneuver the wiper motor linkage from its position, remembering that the linkage is held by three bolts around the motor area, as well as one at the outside end. Carefully prize the linkage arm from the balljoint stud with a screwdriver, and for refitting purposes, take the measurement of the distance between the arm and the end stop. Remove the arm from the motor spindle by undoing the nut and then remove the motor by undoing the 3 Torx bolts. For refitting purposes, put the motor and linkage back, reconnect the wiring plug, and run the touch wipe button to position the motor in the rest position. Refit the crank in the same position as it was when removed based on the distance previously measured and tighten the holding nut firmly, completing the process by working in reverse of the removal process.
