To remove and install the window components for the 200 Series, 700 Series, and Coupe with manual windows, disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the door panel, and remove moisture barrier. If the glass has to be changed or removed, remove the safety catches on the pins on the two lower arms and lift out the glass, supporting it inside the door. Remove the safety clips from the pins on the lower arms, and take out five bolts that hold the regulator to the door and remove the regulator. For installation, place the regulator and screw the five retaining bolts, screw the door glass and the safety pins on the lower arms. Install the window crank handle on the regulator shaft, make sure it moves smoothly, if it is binding, lubricate the run channels with an appropriate lubricant. Finally, remove the crank handle and fit the moisture barrier and door panel. For electric windows, the process starts in a similar way with the disconnecting of the negative battery cable and removal of the door panel and moisture barrier. If glass replacement is necessary, take off safety catches and remove glass while holding it. Disconnect the motor wiring, remove the bolts holding the regulator and remove the regulator. During reinstallation, screws on mounting tighten sufficient to hold position, and glass attaches to regulator with safety clips and ensures proper seating. Loosen the four front-most mounting bolts to eliminate binding, operate the window and tighten the bolts when the regulator is in the optimum position. Adjust the stop at the forward edge of the regulator, making sure that the window moves easily; lubricate if needed. Install moisture barrier and door pad and connect the negative battery cable again. For models other than the 200 Series, 700 Series and Coupe, start by disconnecting the negative battery cable and make sure the window is all the way up. Remove the door panel and moisture barrier, prop up the window to keep it from falling and then remove the window motor, inner handle bracket screws and regulator mounting bolts. After the window regulator has been removed, place it in position, secure the retaining bolts, install the inner handle bracket screws and window motor, and install the locking clips for the rail slides. Remove window support, reconnect negative battery cable and make sure window is working smoothly, lubricating if needed, before applying moisture barrier and door pad.
