The fuel and ignition ECUs, as well as the automatic transmission ECU, if applicable, are contained in the ECU box at the front right hand side of the engine compartment in front of the cooling system expansion tank with the exception of the LH3.2-Jetronic! EZ-129 K system, which contains a separate ignition ECU. To remove the ECU, first make sure that the ignition is off, then clean the top of the ECU box lid so that debris does not fall inside during the removal process. Release the catch on the side of the ECU module box lid, remove from the side and set aside. Then, you will pull the locking lever on top of ECU forward and take out the ECU from its place and you have to note that ignition system ECU is in slot one of the module boxes closest to the engine. For refitting, put the ECU back in the box, making sure it clicks into the connector on the bottom and then pushing down on the locking lever to secure it and reattach the ECU box lid.
