The two knock sensors are located on the front-face of the cylinder block below the inlet manifold. Remove the inlet manifold then disconnect the wiring connector to the corresponding knock sensor (front or rear). Next, remove the retaining bolt and remove the sensor. For engines that do not use turbochargers, place the sensor on the cylinder block and replace it, tightening the holding bolt to the required torque while holding the connector of the sensor to the 4 o'clock position. On turbocharged engines, find the sensor on the cylinder block and refit the sensor, tightening the retaining bolt to the specified torque while holding the connector of the front sensor at the 3 o'clock position and the rear sensor connector at the 5 o'clock position. Finally, attach the inlet manifold again.
