Volvo Fuel Pressure Regulator

Volvo Fuel Pressure Regulator maintains engine power by maintaining fuel at the optimum pressure with each change in throttle. Volvo began building dependable vehicles in 1927 and the brand has continued to focus on safety, clean Scandinavian design and simple controls to make driving intuitive and comfortable. Seat belts, powerful braking systems, and the continuing drive to make powertrains electric are all examples of the company's tendency to combine innovation with practical everyday applications. The company also produces trucks and buses, which show that the same dedication to durability is present across a diverse lineup and gives owners confidence on any road. The Volvo Fuel Pressure Regulator is designed to balance the supply and demand using a spring-loaded diaphragm and a vacuum signal so that the injectors are always getting just enough gasoline. At idle, it routes excess fuel back to the tank and a wide open throttle allows the spring to increase pressure for higher acceleration, resulting in smooth response and cleaner exhaust. Because the Volvo Fuel Pressure Regulator is installed on the common fuel rail, it will operate throughout the brand portfolio rather than being restricted to a single model, providing every driver with consistent starts and stable cruising. A healthy Volvo Fuel Pressure Regulator, therefore, works with other powertrain technologies to provide efficiency, lower emissions and long engine life.

Trust OEM Fuel Pressure Regulator for quality that holds up. These parts use top-tier materials to keep your ride running smooth. Because they match exact Volvo specs, you get a flawless fit and a hassle-free install every single time. No more fighting with parts that just won't line up. It is easy to search our massive stock of genuine Volvo options at prices you will really like. Every part comes with a real manufacturer's warranty and a simple return policy. Plus, we ship fast to get your order to you. Shop with confidence and give your Volvo the reliability it deserves.

Volvo Fuel Pressure Regulator Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to remove and install the Fuel Pressure Regulator on Volvo 740?
    A:
To remove and install pressure regulator for 2.3L 4-Cylinder and 2.8L 6-Cylinder engines: Get started by relieving the fuel system pressure and disconnecting the negative battery cable. Next, remove the fuel lines and vacuum line from the pressure regulator, and finally, retaining bolts or nuts that hold the pressure regulator to the bracket. To install the pressure regulator, insert the pressure regulator in the bracket and screw in the bolts or nuts and then reconnect the vacuum line and fuel lines, followed by the negative battery cable. Start the vehicle and check for leaks and to make sure fuel pressure is correct, shut the engine off and try to place the protective cover on the fuel rail. For the 2.9L 6 Engine and 2.3L and 2.4L 5 Engines, begin by venting the fuel system pressure and disconnecting the negative battery cable. Remove the fuel rail assembly, vacuum line and fuel lines from the pressure regulator then remove the regulator from the fuel rail. When installing, lubricate the O-ring on the pressure regulator and O-rings on the injectors and install a new pressure regulator making certain the O-ring seats are properly seated. Tighten the fuel lines to the regulator, reconnect the vacuum line and reinstall the fuel rail assembly, keeping the O-rings seated in place. Reconnect the negative battery cable and start the car to check for leaks, check the fuel pressure, and finally shut off the car engine and install the fuel rail protective cover.
