To remove the ignition coil, first disconnect the negative battery cable, then disconnect the harness from the ignition coil, remove the retaining bolt of the ignition coil to the upper cylinder head, and lift the ignition coil off the spark plug and remove the cylinder. For installation purposes, position the ignition coil into the appropriate cylinder and on top of the spark plug, pushing down gently until a click is heard or felt, which means the ignition coil is attached to the spark plug. Next is to install and tighten the retaining bolt at ignition coil to upper cylinder head, reconnect the harness to ignition coil, and then connect to negative battery cable.
