    1. Raise the vehicle and support it safely. 2. Remove the wheel(s). 3. Remove the cotter pin and ball joint nut. 4. Disconnect the stabilizer link. 5. Disconnect the strut bolt. 6. Remove the front bushing. 7. Use a ball joint puller to separate the ball joint from the control arm. 8. Unbolt the control arm at the crossmember and remove the arm.

    1. Raise and safely support the vehicle. 2. Remove the wheel(s). 3. Remove the control arm. 4. Clean the bushing outer sleeves. 5. Press out the bushings using tools 5481 and 5482 or equivalent. 6. Press in the new bushings using the same tools. 7. Install the control arm, install the wheel(s), and lower the vehicle.

    1. Raise and safely support the vehicle. 2. Mark the position of the wheel stud nearest to the valve. 3. Remove the lower control arm. 4. Press out the bushing with a suitable drift. 5. Press in the new bushing with a suitable drift using disc 5240 or equivalent as support. 6. Install the control arm, install the wheel, and lower the vehicle.

    A:
    1. Fit the control arm over the end of the strut rod. 2. Install it in the crossmember without fully tightening the nut. 3. Install the ball joint and tighten the nut to 44 ft. lbs. (60 Nm). 4. Install a new cotter pin. 5. Tighten the strut rod bolt to 70 ft. lbs. (95 Nm). 6. Attach the stabilizer link and tighten it to 63 ft. lbs. (86 Nm). 7. Install the wheel(s). 8. Lower the vehicle. 9. Jounce the front of the vehicle before tightening the control arm-to-crossmember bolt to 63 ft. lbs. (86 Nm).
