To remove the boot lid, start by taking out the warning triangle from the trim panel if it is present. Next, carefully pull the grab handle recess trim from the boot panel. Then, remove the boot lock plastic cover. After that, release the 10 clips to take off the boot inner trim panel, noting their fitted positions. Disconnect the boot wiring plugs and release the loom grommet from the boot lid. Proceed to remove the boot lid support struts. Mark around the hinges for alignment during refitting, then undo the two screws on each side that secure the hinges to the boot lid, ensuring an assistant supports the boot lid while pulling the wiring loom out as it is withdrawn. For refitting, follow the reverse order of removal, checking the fit and closure of the boot lid and making adjustments if necessary.
