Disconnect the boot wiring plugs and release the loom grommet from the boot lid. Proceed to remove the boot lid support struts. Mark around the hinges for alignment during refitting, then undo the two screws on each side that secure the hinges to the boot lid, ensuring an assistant supports the boot lid while pulling the wiring loom out as it is withdrawn. For refitting, follow the reverse order of removal, checking the fit and closure of the boot lid and making adjustments if necessary.
