To remove the hood, open the hood first and disconnect the hoses from the washer jets. If applicable, disconnect the wiring plugs of the washer jet and remove the loom from the hood. On the underside of the hood, mark around the hinge bracket with a felt tip pen as reference to refit and then prise out the clip and pull out the support. With help, hold the hood and undo the hinge bolts and remove the hood and store it safely. For refitting, put pads of rags under the corners of the hood near the hinges to protect the paintwork. Fit the hood, and insert the bolts for the hinge, nipping these up in the positions marked on them. Reconnect washer tube and wiring plugs and close the hood, check fit, slacken bolts and reposition hood if necessary. When the adjustment is correct, tighten the hinge bolts firmly and refit the support.
