To remove the switch, make sure the ignition is switched off then remove the lower facia panel on the driver's side. Disconnect the switch wiring plug by depressing the tab, and turn the switch clockwise, and it will release from the bracket. Squeeze the switch side retaining catches and remove the switch from the pedal bracket by disconnecting the wiring connector(s) as you remove the switch by turning the stop light switch clockwise. For refitting, the brake pedal must be in 'at rest' position and then the switch must be re-installed by turning it anti-clockwise till it clicks into position [note: the switch self-adjusts when it is re-installed]. Reconnect the wiring plug and re-attach the lower facia panel.
