How to remove and install a fender on Volvo 780?

To remove the fender, open the cowl by removing the windshield wiper arms and the cowl trim. Next, unfasten the air inlet grille bolts and remove the grille, then the bumper end-piece, headlights and turn signal lens assemblies. Then, remove the wheel well trim and the fender retaining bolts to carefully remove the fender from the vehicle. For installation, sealer (P/N 591278-7 or equivalent) first is applied in the wheel arch joint before the fender is placed back and the retaining bolts are tightened. After that, reinstall the wheel well trim, headlight, turn signal lens assemblies and bumper end-piece. Finally, replace the air inlet grille and keep it in place with the retaining bolts, reattach the cowl trim and complete the installation by installing the windshield wiper arms.
