Carry out the operations by removing the oil pipes and the pre-loading device cover, piston, 'O' ring, and sleeve, taking care not to turn the rack and pinions shaft to avoid an oil spray. Next, remove the lower cover and spacer sleeve for the rack and pinions, releasing the locking tab and removing the nut, then unscrew the inner bearing race with ball retainer and outer race. Proceed to remove the valve housing cover and spring, lifting off the valve housing carefully to avoid damage, and lift out the rack and pinions. Remove the lock bolt for the right side housing, pull off the housing and connecting tube, then pull out the rack and bearing sleeve, detaching the sleeve from the rack. Remove the bolt for the left side housing, extracting the outer tube from the housing and then the inner tube. For the upper bushing, a puller will be needed, using the tool in the middle of the sleeve. Lever out the upper outer race of the rack and pinions lower bearing using two thin screwdrivers. Remove both 'O' rings and spacer from the right side housing, as well as the bearing, 'O' ring, and seal from the valve housing cover. Additionally, remove the seal, 'O' ring, and plastic rings from the rack and bearing sleeve, followed by the plastic ring and 'O' ring beneath it from the rack. Finally, take out the oil seal, washer, and circlip from the inner tube, clean all parts with white spirit, and examine them for wear or damage. If any components such as the rack and pinions, control valve, or valve housing are faulty, all assembly parts should be renewed, and if the bearing is replaced, the bearing sleeve for the rack should also be renewed along with all seals and 'O' rings.
