How to remove and refit the oil pump for 2.4 litre petrol engine on 2007 Volvo S40?

In order to dismantle the oil pump, unscrew the four fastening bolts and extract the assembly. Wipe the mating faces and check the pump by take out screws and the gear cover. Assemble and change worn-out parts, refit the pump using a new gasket, and lubricate the bolts and tighten them. Re-fit the crankshaft sprocket and timing belt.
