How to thoroughly clean and disassemble a fuel pump on 1986 Volvo 244?

Clean the outside of the pump with paraffin or solvent, make flanges for reassembly. Remove cover, gasket and fuel strainer. Sever out the pump housing, doing it without damaging the diaphragm. Extract the lever shaft, lever, diaphragm, spring and seal. Finally, remove the screw to remove the stop arm and leaf spring inlet valve.
