Stave cylinder internal components are not available separately, and no repair or overhaul of the cylinder is possible. In the event of a hydraulic system fault or any sign of fluid leakage, the unit should be renewed. To remove the transmission, the internal slave cylinder cannot be removed with the transmission in place. Release the rubber seal from the transmission and move it inwards down the pipe. Prise out the clip and disconnect the fluid pipe junction from the pipe. Remove the two mounting bolts securing the cylinder and release bearing assembly to the transmission, and remove the assembly, feeding the fluid pipe in through the transmission aperture. For refitting, reverse the removal operations, ensuring to tighten the release bearing assembly mounting bolts to the specified torque, use new seals when refitting the quick-release pipe connections, refit the transmission, and bleed the clutch hydraulic system upon completion.
