For a windscreen wiper arm, open the bonnet and carefully prise off the trim cap from the wiper arm retaining nut in order to access the wiper arm. For a tailgate wiper arm, remove the trim cover to get the retaining nut. Next slacken and remove wiper arm retaining nut, lift blade off glass and pull it from its spindle using grips if needed to pull it off easily. For refitting, make sure that the wiper and spindle are clean and dry before you put the arm in the right position. Refit the retaining nut and tighten to the specified torque, followed by replacing the trim cap or cover.
