How can coil springs be safely removed and refitted without using spring compressors on Volvo S80?

Despite how hard as we tried in the workshop, we did not come up with a safe way of removing the coil springs without Volvo springs compressors. Consequently, when access to these tools is unavailable entrust this task to a Volvo dealer or suitably-equipped specialist. Starting from the rear shock absorber of the corresponding side, remove the bolts and remove the brake caliper mounting bracket from the hub carrier, discard the bolts and be sure to fit new bolts, do not need to take off the fluid pipe, hang the brake caliper on the work of the vehicle body to avoid strain on the flexible brake hose. Next, undo the bolt and remove the ABS wheel speed sensor from the hub carrier by positioning the sensor to one side. Attach the Volvo spring compressors and compress the spring before lifting the spring out of its location. Examine all parts for wear or damage and replace as needed. For refitting, install the compressed spring on the seat in the lower control arm, with a 15mm space between the end of the spring coil and the lifted section of the spring seat. Raise the control arm using a jack and attach the upper end of the spring in its recess in the body. Refit the shock absorber and lock it in place before removing the jack and tighten all nuts and bolts to the specified torque. Finally remove the spring compressor and the rest of the refitting is a reversal of the removal process.
