  Q: How to use Lift Support to remove and refit the courtesy light and rear roof section trim on Volvo S70?

  To remove the courtesy light which is in the centre of the rear section of the trim of the roof, use a small screwdriver to carefully prise the light out, then disconnect the light wiring and remove the light. Next, prise out the plastic caps over the two retaining screws for the rear section trim of the roof, undo the screws and remove the trim. After that, prise out the caps over the combined roof sill and d-pillar trim panel and undo the screws in both sides, and release the panels by pulling them free of their retaining clips. Support the tailgate in the open position with a suitable prop, then disconnect the bracket that holds the strut on the body. Finally, undo the strut ball joints and remove the strut from the car. For refitting, you should follow the steps in reverse order.
