To replace the driveshaft seals, first you need to remove the appropriate driveshaft and drain the transmission oil. Carefully prise the oil seal out of the transmission casing with a large screwdriver or appropriate lever without damaging the casing. Clean the oil seal seating in the transmission casing and then apply a little general purpose grease to the new seal lips and press it partially in the casing by hand, making it square to its seating. Use appropriate tubing or large socket to force the oil seal all the way in to position until flush with the edge of the casing, and refit the driveshafts. For the input shaft oil seal on the MTX 75 transmission integral with the clutch slave cylinder/release bearing, remove the clutch release bearing/slave cylinder and record the depth fitted. Drill a small hole in the hard outer surface of the seal, insert a self-tapping screw and use pliers to pull out the seal. Lubricate the new seal with grease and position it to the bellhousing with the lips towards the gearbox side using a deep socket or suitable tubing to seat it to its original depth. Finally, refit the release bearing/slave cylinder by reversing the removal process.
