To remove and install the spindle, always first raising the vehicle and supporting it in a safe manner, then remove the wheel(s). Next, remove the caliper and hold it out of the way using a piece of wire, and then remove the brake rotor. If applicable remove the axle nut and any harnesses/lines that are aiding in the removal of the spindle. Disconnect the tie rod end and lower
Ball Joint from the spindle as well as the strut tube from the top of the spindle before finally removing the spindle from the vehicle. When installing a new spindle, be sure to transfer the backing plate, hub or anything that is not attached to your new spindle assembly. Install the spindle on the vehicle then connect the strut tube, lower ball joint and tie rod end to the spindle, tightening each to specification. Reconnect all harnesses or lines removed, install axle nut and tighten to specification, brake rotor and caliper. Finally, install the wheel(s) and drop the vehicle.
