To start, remove the two plastic plugs from the armrest and the screws which attach it to the sides from the inside. Next, turn the plastic ring located at the front edge of the armrest several turns to the left, push the armrest forwards to disengage the hook located at the front edge of the armrest to enable its removal. Then, remove the window winding handle by removing the cover, and then by taking off the holding screw and the handle itself. Unscrew the door lock button and screws at the top edge of the door interior trim panel. Proceed to remove the interior trim panel by inserting a screwdriver or similar flat tool between the trim panel and door carefully prising off the trim panel. After that, remove the lock cylinder attaching screw on the rear edge of the door and the front door lock attaching screws. Release the holding clip and slide the pushrod from the door lock knob, and disconnect the pullrod from handles of the door inside and outside. Unscrew and remove the three screws holding the door lock assembly to the edge of the door, and remove the lock from the door cavity. If it is needed, the exterior handle can be removed after removing the two securing screws, which are accessible with the window lowered. If the lock is worn out or damaged it should be renewed as an assembly. Finally, refitting the lock assembly, follows the reverse of the removal procedure and making any necessary adjustments by adjusting the length of the exterior handle pullrod and front door lock parts.
