How to remove the Intake Manifold and Valve Cover for 1.6 litre diesel engine on 2009 Volvo V50?

To remove the 80 kW engine, disconnect the battery, remove the plastic cover, fuel injectors and engine cover bracket. Unclips fuel hoses and unclips the air inlet pipe, remove oil separator. For the 85 kW engine, there are similar steps, including disconnecting the throttle body and EGR valve. Refitting is the converse process.
