To remove the exhaust manifold, first, remove the turbocharger, remove the clamp and disconnect the EGR pipe from the exhaust manifold. Next, slacken and remove the nuts holding exhaust manifold and remove it from the engine and discard the gasket as a new gasket needs to be fitted. When refitting, check all manifold studs for damage and corrosion, removing trace of any corrosion, and repairing or replacing damaged studs. Make sure the mating surfaces of the exhaust manifold and cylinder head are clean and dry, place a new gasket, fit the exhaust manifold back to the cylinder head and tighten the nuts to the recommended torque. The rest of the refitting process is just a reversal of the removal steps plus there's checking all the fasteners are tight with their given torque if available and checking that the oil is at the correct level, then topping it up if it is low.
