How to remove the side view mirrors and their components on 2005 Volvo V50?

To remove the door mirror glass, pivot the mirror, use a flat tool to prize it off and disconnect wiring as you withdraw. For the motor, take off the glass, undo the nut, disconnect wiring and release clips. For the entire unit, remove the trim panel, wiring and mirror.
