How to remove and refit the steering column on 2004 Volvo V70?

To remove the steering column, disconnect the battery and extend the steering column and remove the steering wheel. Remove shrouds, trim panel and wiring plugs. For automatic models, disconnect the interlock cable. Remove the steering wheel module, undo bolts and pull the column. Refit by reversing steps, and make sure connections and lubricating.
