How to remove and refit the Trunk Lid Latch assembly from a boot lid on 2004 Volvo V40?

To remove the lock assembly open the boot lid, unscrew fasteners and remove the inner trim panel. Free the link rod, remove bolts and disconnect wiring. For the lock button, unclip the actuator, remove the surround panel and maneuver the assembly out. Refit in reverse order, making sure of proper operation.
