  A: Drain the engine oil and take out the oil filter and pump. Remove the oil cooler if there is one; then remove the bolts on the oil pan and tap it off. Remove the oil pick-up pipe & pistons. Finally, undo the bolts holding the intermediate section and lift it off and remove the crankshaft oil seal.
