The brake light switch is on the brake pedal and activates the lights whenever the pedals are moved. To remove it, separate the electrical connectors and unscrew the locknut. For installation purposes, fix the new switch in place and reconnect the connectors and adjust it so that the lights are on when the pedal is pushed 3/8-1/2 inches down.
