How to safely remove and install the rear sway bar and shock absorbers on 1996 Volvo 960?

Raise up the vehicle and remove the wheels. Unbolt the shock absorbers, and then remove the sway bar. For installation, hand tighten the bolts then tighten to specified torque. For 1995-98 models, lower the sway bar and make it secure. For 850, C70, S70 and V70 mark positions, replace bolts and tighten as needed. Reinstall rubber mount before lowering the vehicle.
