Refitting is done in reverse order, ensuring correct operation before reattaching the door trim.

First, take off the door inner trim panel and carefully pull away the door sealing panel, cutting through the sealant if necessary. For rear doors, ensure the window is fully closed, then undo the Torx screw, drill out the rivet, and move the window guide rail aside. Disconnect the link rod between the exterior handle and the lock unit by pressing it forward. Remove the two retaining nuts, take off the retaining plate, lift the retaining clips, and pull the handle from the door, starting at the lower edge while being cautious not to damage the paintwork.
