To replace the front courtesy light, carefully prise the lens out from the overhead console, free the bulb from its contacts and remove it from the light unit and ensure secure refitting. For the rear courtesy light, prise the lens out from the roof, unclip the bulb from the light unit and refit securely. For the vanity mirror light, fold down the sun visor, open the mirror flap, ease off the lens, free the bulb and make sure it is refitted properly. Under the luggage, take the light unit assembly out with a small screwdriver, free the bulb and refit securely. For the front footwell light, use a screwdriver to get at the bulb, unclip the cover and make sure refitting is secure. To deal with instrument illumination and warning lights, remove the instrument panel, remove the bulbholder anticlockwise and ensure new bulbs are of correct rating before refitting. For lighting switch illumination, remove the retaining screws, remove the panel by unclipping it, twist the bulbholder to remove it and reinsert it in place tightly. In manual heating/ventilation systems, pull off control knobs, ease the faceplate off, twist the bulbholder to withdraw it, and align it up correctly on refitting. For electronic climate control systems, remove the control panel, turn the bulbholder in an anticlockwise direction enough to withdraw it, and install the new assembly tightly in place. To replace glovebox light, open glovebox, prise out light unit assembly, free bulb and ensure secure refitting with check for bulb cover. For the automatic transmission selector light, remove the console section, unplug the bulbholder and refit securely. For the mode switch illumination bulb, take the switch off, and turn the bulbholder a quarter-turn to remove it, to ensure secure refitting. For the hazard warning light switch bulb, remove the switch and turn the bulbholder on a quarter turn for removal followed by secure refitting. Lastly, in the case of cigar lighter illumination, remove the cigar lighter, release the tabs holding the socket, slide off the bulbholder, renew the bulb and refit in a secure manner.
