To remove the hood, the first step is to raise the hood and disconnect any electrical or fluid lines between the hood and the body. Scribe marks around the hinges to make reinstallation easier and have a helper support the hood to prevent damage during removal. Remove the hinge-to-hood bolts from each side and lift the hood clear of the vehicle, taking care not to bend or dimple it; put the hood on pads and cover it for protection. For installation purpose position the hood and install the bolts just enough to hold in position then lower the hood and check for any even gaps all around, then tighten the bolts and reattach any electrical connections or fluid lines. For alignment work front height by changing the guide pins or rubber bump stops in the front panel, loosen the hood to change left and right as required, and for hood length, loosen the hinges and change the hood length using the oval holes provided. Finally adjust the height at the rear by adjusting the hinge mountings near the wheel arch.
