  To remove the console, first disconnect the negative battery cable. Next, take off the front panel along with the cigarette lighter and diagnostic connector if available, then unplug the connectors. Remove the two retaining bolts located under the panel, and open the armrest to take out the two retaining screws found under the small access cover. Unplug the console harness connections situated under the ashtray and remove the access cover beneath the parking brake handle. Carefully and slowly take out the console. For installation, place the console back into position and install the four retaining screws. Reconnect the wiring harnesses under the ashtray, then install the front cover, the access cover under the armrest, and the cover under the parking brake handle. Finally, reconnect the negative battery cable.
