How to remove and refit the transmission and flywheel correctly for GDI engine on 2000 Volvo V40?

In order to remove the transmission, first remove the clutch assembly and label the way the flywheel when refitting. Unbolist the flywheel, and hold a screwdriver to discourage the rotation of the crankshaft. Check, repair, and change broken bolts. Wipe clean surfaces, oiled bolt heads and tighten bolts in diagonal order and then refitment of the clutch and transmission.
